HEF’s mission is to advance innovation and excellence in the Hingham Public Schools. We fund grants that impact students now and for years to come; grants that are scalable, enhance the HPS curriculum and elevate the student experience. We prioritize selection of grants that:
- Support the academic, social, and emotional health of our students through fun and engaging learning experiences
- Support and enable teachers through targeted, high impact and scalable grants
HEF’s goal for the 2024-2025 school year is to raise funds to support the three priorities that align with Building Thinking Classrooms.
Timeline
The traditional grant process is closed for the Spring 2025 cycle while HEF focuses on its Thinking Classrooms initiative.
Who Can Apply
Hingham Public School teachers, school administrators or other staff. While we will always accept individual teacher/staff grant requests, we encourage HPS staff members to consider submitting group requests so that funds raised by HEF might impact as many students as possible. A “group” grant can be submitted by a school, department, grade level or team and should ideally benefit a large number of students, not just the students of one particular teacher.
Criteria
Grant applications are reviewed by the Hingham Education Board of Trustees using the following Grant Rubric.
